It is considered that the BRI or the Belt and Road Initiative of China aim to strengthen China’s interests further. It is seen as a project that is meant to strengthen the economy of China and enhance its security interests while giving a fillip to overseas development. The project has the potential to yield considerable political and economic gains for China. These yields could include expansion of the export market of China, the promotion of Renminbi (RMB) as the international currency and the reduction in the trade frictions like transport costs and tariffs.
With these interests in place there is no denying the fact the BRI China is certainly being pushed across tables to get the required nod from participating countries.
